Terms of Sale

By placing an order, you are offering to buy a product or service on and subject to these terms.  All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price.

To contract with Bartlett Pubs, you must be over 18 and have a valid credit or debit card issued by a bank acceptable to us.  Bartlett Pubs retains the right to refuse any request. If your order is accepted, we will inform you by email and confirm the identity of the party you have contracted with.  This will usually be Bartlett Pubs or a third party.  Where a contract is made with a third-party,  Bartlett Pubs is not acting as an agent for that third party or for you.  When placing an order, you affirm that all details you provide to us are correct, that you are an authorized user of the credit or debit card used to place your order, and that there are enough funds to cover the cost of the goods. 

(a) Our Contract

When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgment email confirming receipt of your order: this email will only be an acknowledgement and will not be acceptance of your order.  A contract between us will not be formed until we send you confirmation by email that the service you ordered, have been or will be given to you.  Only those services in the confirmation email sent at the time of dispatch will be included in the contract.

(b) Pricing and Availability

While we try and make sure all details, descriptions, and prices on this website, are correct, errors may occur.  If we discover an error in the price of anything you ordered, we will inform you of this as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or canceling it.  If we cannot contact you, we will treat the order as canceled.  If you cancel and you have paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.  If a physical product is purchased, delivery costs will be charged in addition; and the additional charges are included in the “Total Cost”.

(c) Payment

If you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to the product through the end of your current billing period,

To buy a subscription, please provide your personal information, including name, address, telephone number, email address, name of business, credit card information, and billing address.  We do not sell this personal information to other parties.  Please tell us immediately about any change in your credit card information, including a change to billing address.  For certain Payment Methods, the issuer of your payment method may charge you a transactional fee or other charges such as foreign currency fees.  Those fees are your responsibility in addition to the product cost.

You may cancel your subscription at any time, and you will continue to have access to the Service through the end of your billing period (whether annual of monthly). To cancel, go to the “My Account” page on the  Bartlett Pubs website and follow the cancellation instructions.

(d) Terms of Use Publications

The publications sold on this website are copyrighted material.  Unless allowed by a site license, these publications may not be transferred to a nonsubscriber or posted on a server or other location that allows access by a nonsubscriber.  A subscription gives the subscriber a year-long individual use license for one person.  A site license for access by multiple employees permits access to the publication limited to the number of people specified in the site license.  The publication and its updates may be saved for reading on the subscriber’s individual computer or printed as hard-copy for use by the that subscriber only.  Unauthorized duplication or access to copies is a copyright violation.

The material displayed on this website receives no guarantees, conditions, or warranties as to its accuracy.  Bartlett Pubs and its suppliers, content providers, and advertisers expressly exclude all conditions, warranties, and other terms which might otherwise be implied, and shall not be liable for any damages, including any direct, indirect, special, consequential, punitive or incidental damages, or damages for loss of use, profits, data, or other intangibles, damage to goodwill or reputation, or the cost of procurement of substitute goods and services, related to this website or the Linked Sites and any materials posted thereon, despite whether such damages were foreseeable or arise in contract, tort, equity, restitution, by statute, at common law or otherwise.

You may link to our home page, but you must not show a link to suggest any form of association, approval, or endorsement on our part where none exists.  You must not show a link from any website that is not owned by you.  This website must not be framed on any other site, nor may you create a link to any part of this website other than the home page.
